Dodgers Dreamfields Nomination Application

If you are interested in nominating a field to become a Dodgers Dreamfield please see below for our requirements. While we understand that many organizations are in need of support, we require that any nominated Dodgers Dreamfields meet the following criteria for eligibility.

LADF will review nominations twice a year in May and November of each calendar year. Nominations are not guaranteed projects. LADF will contact you directly should your nomination be of interest.

Program Eligibility

Program must fall within one or more of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) Focus Areas.

Youth Development, Education, Health Care, and Homelessness

Nominations must be community-based organizations or municipal agencies. Schools and colleges are not eligible.
Fields must be located in Greater Los Angeles Area.
Nominations must come from an organization (no funding will be made to individuals).
Nominations must have an existing youth baseball and softball program or partner with an organization that offers programming.
Nominated organizations must be open, non-restrictive membership that operate open to all regardless of race, creed, sex, sexual orientation, religious belief, or nationality. Nothing in the Guidelines shall prohibit a program from specifying an age, sex, or physical capacity classification, as long as it is reasonable under all the circumstances and is consistent with applicable law.
Organization must provide a non-discrimination policy.
Organization must be certified as a tax-exempt entity (under Section 501 c3 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code and is not a private foundation as defined in section 509(a) of that Code OR a government entity). The organization must be in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the California Franchise Tax Board and the California Secretary of State.
The organization acknowledges that it has a written policy that addresses its commitment to keep children safe from sexual abuse by preventing, recognizing and responding to situations both on and off the playing field that in any way compromises their safety.
Nominated organizations must demonstrate a strong ability to implement quality sports programming with adequate scheduling, planning, maintenance, practices, and games.

• Organization Financial Documents: If you are a 501 c(3), please attach your organization’s most recent form 990. If you are a government entity, please provide your department’s operating budget.

• Organization’s Tax Exempt Status Letter: If you are a 501 c(3), please attach your organization’s 501c3 Determination Letter. If you are a government entity, please provide your tax exempt letter.

• Non-Discrimination Policy: Please attach a copy of the requesting organization’s Non Discrimination Policy. (Click on Upload File button to attach multiple documents.
